i have just heard the news from st.judes that emily sutton's design "curiosity shop" has won the 'best british pattern design' category in the british design awards 2011 (in association with Elle decoration and the daily telegraph). to be totally honest with you i was very suprised by the nominations in this category but see what you think about the other nominees online here. for more on emily's fabrics visit st.judes and look out for the winners of other categories in the december issue of elle deco magazine.

with the olympics taking place in london next year you only have to walk around the city to see lots of suitable souvenirs celebrating 2012. my fave store paperchase have a london series planned for the designed to take us right into 2012. they have lots of bright union jack designs on the way as well as several products featuring different styles of london illustrations.
i've also been browsing other london/uk designs recently and came across these tea towels and mugs based on airfix kits by victoria eggs.i also had a look around at the souvenirs at the excellent london transport museum shop in covent garden and took a few snaps...
and finally below a few london mugs seen at whittard of chelsea.

babushka is the lastest paperchase collection to hit the stores. its a feminine collection in grey, black and hot pink that is perhaps more boudoir than folky. babushka is available on stationery, cards & wrap, and giftware and you'll find it in your local branch now and some pieces available to buy online here.
